Questionable kennel from Canada
Jersey is close to being fully recovered after being neglected by the kennel we left him at while on holidays. He went into Glenbrae Kennel in Fort Qu'Appelle on Dec 25th and on Jan 1st( one day before we were to return) we found out he had been taken to the emergency vet clinic in Regina. The vet was told he had not eaten or drank water for over 4 days. He could not support himself and was in extreme pain. Initial blood tests at the clinic indicated sodium levels higher than the test would register. The doctors there had never seen a case this bad before. These tests also showed he was 14 pounds lighter than 2 weeks prior. They quickly determined he was extremely dehydrated, primary hypernatremia, and started treatment of iv fluids.
